Lash Royalty at Skins 62 Cosmetics

Not all desserts are created equal.

This is one of my latest finds during my stay in Roppongi Hills in Tokyo.  I can’t read Japanese, but I walked into AM/PM in the wee hours of the morning, looking for a treat.  I always love trying new foods/snacks, so I reached for this cute pouch of what appeared to be fruit balls (insert joke here).  To my surprise, these tiny balls were packed with fruit flavor!  It’s final, they are #2 place, as my #1 place winner still goes to Haagen Daaz Crisp Sandwich (green tea).

Smoothie Time!

Special thanks to my Cusinart blender.  MmMmm good.

My strange obsession with vending machines.

Ever since I was a lil girl, there was always a certain level of fascination, when I stood in front of a vending machine trying to figure out my purchase.  Today as an adult, you can still find me glued to the vending machines, except, the new modern version features fun & kitschy items.

I spotted this one @ The Cosmopolitan Hotel in Las Vegas.  You can get everything from Lady Gaga rhinestone encrusted ear bugs, fashion tape, gourmet chocolate, jewelry, and even eyelashes.  Although, you can find better quality, selection, & prices for falsie lashes just around the corner at Skins 6/2 Cosmetics.

I’ve traveled the world and simply adore the hot/cold drink vending machines in Tokyo.  They even carry small selection of hot soups.

My 2nd runner up would be Bam! in NYC.  They feature hot foods such as grilled cheese, sandwiches, and mozzarella sticks.

DIY Cupcake Stand

I like pretty things, but there’s always a line I have to draw with the price. I know spring/summer is just about here, and thought I’d share a link I found for DIY Cupcake Stand.

This would be perfect for when you have guests over, birthdays, and a small little event. Best part is, you can make it as elaborate as your heart desires.  Click on the cupcake to be re-directed.

One of my guilty pleasures…

I love dessert, but I don’t eat them. From the sugar, eggs, and lots of cream, I totally avoid desserts when possible. However, I do admit I enjoy watching CUPCAKE WARS!!!

I mean, who knew baking & competing for the covenant title of Cupcake Wars, could be so brutal?!

My friend Misa Campo, made the cover of FHM Magazine!

Misa looks sexy and fabulous on the February 2011 cover of FHM Magazine. I’m so happy and proud of her.

To Bling or Not to Bling?!

Sooo, I’m officially tired of my Nokia E71. Loved this phone, but the interface is just so dated, and it’s impossible view PDF’s or attachments from my emails.

All of my friends (and hubby), have been telling me to jump on the Iphone bandwagon. Can’t say that I’m a happy camper, but I’ve thrown up the white flag and will have to surrender.

If I move forward, the real question now is, “To Bling or not to Bling”.

*** UPDATED on 3/8/11

So, I decided not to bling out my Iphone, because the sparkly swarovski stones, apparently ending up messing with the quality of the photo.  I read this on several blogs, then decided to test it out myself.  I slapped on a gorgeous blinged out case, and snapped picture with and then w/o the case.

To my surprise, the flash and swarovski stones don’t get along.  The result, a bright and foggy looking photo.  The sales lady still tried to push me to buy the case, but I politely mentioned how I’d like to be able to use the camera on my photo.  Since I do looooove to randomly snap photos for my blogging.  Case closed!

Why I’m in Love with the Cosmopolitan Hotel in Las Vegas.

Sephora has been a long time favorite of mine, but as of late, they are lacking the variety of new and exciting brands. I find that many of the products they put on their “top recommendation” lists, are simply a hit or miss.

It’s relieving to finally come across a gorgeous apothecary like Skins 6/2 at the Cosmopolitan Hotel in Las Vegas. This mega beauty haven has all of the hard to find beauty brands like Love & Toast (hand creme), Creed (perfume), and Lash Royalty (falsie lashes).

The staff is extremely helpful and will even do a quick makeup touch up upon request. I also like the fact that Skins 62 is located right next door to Marquee nightclub, making it extra convenient for me to swing by and get my lashes and last minute beauty needs before I hit the dance floor!

C’mon, the case costs more than the IPAD!

When it comes to the fashion powerhouse Chanel, you can definitely expect a hefty price tag to go along with their accessories.  I love my IPAD, but probably won’t be bringing out my credit card anytime soon to make this purchase.  I mean with a Chanel handbag, at least I could justify using it because I can actually use it to tote around my necessities.

Do I love this Chanel IPAD case, YESSSSS!  I just wish the price tag was a tad bit lower.  =)
