WTF sighting in Venice!

Out in Venice (CA), you can expect to see people from all walks of life roaming the streets.  The neighborhoods consists of magazine worthy modern homes to old decreaped shacks…all on the same block!  Down at the Venice boardwalk there are street performers juggling real knives, drum circles, surfers, bicyclist, roller bladders, and even a public graffiti wall for local artists.

While I was driving down Lincoln with Dizzle, we looked out the window and saw this…

Out of disbelief, we did a double take to see if our eyes were deceiving us.  The verdict was in…it was a freakin Superman hood ornament!  Hahahah.  I’ve seen wreaths, flowers, and even a doll once, but seeing Superman on the hood of that pimpin van just took it to another level.  Only in Venice will you see this kind of stuff.  =)

Royal T

I’m a huge fan of cutesy things, so Royal T was the perfect spot for me to peruse art pieces from famous Japanese artists with the likes of Murakami and Yoshimoto Nara.  And when you’re done checking out their eclectic galleries, make sure to swing into their gift shop thats loaded with Kid Rob-ish collectibles.  Btw…I absolutely fell in love with Royal T, once I saw the over sized Be@rbricks display!!!  I swear, they had to be at least 3 feet tall!

If art and shopping doesn’t tickle your fancy, there’s also a mini cafe.  They feature a light menu with salads, sandwiches, and tea sets.  Did I mention that the waitresses are all dressed in cute costume wear?!  I guess this is a huge trend in areas like Akihabura in Japan.  So I guess this place would be the perfect place to take someone who loves Japanese anime!  I’d give about 3 out of 5 stars for the food, and about 4 out of 5 stars for the atmosphere.  Next time you’re in the Culver City area, stop by Royal T!

Advice to my dear friends…

People say, the only things certain in life are taxes and death.  I guess I’m more of an optimist when it comes to the game of life.  I often find that people ultimately wish for and desire the same things such as:  happiness, good health, and wealth.

I’m here to say that happiness shouldn’t be something you wish for, it’s something you have to define.  Happiness is a feeling inside, and that can only be determined by you, or by something or someone that makes you feel that way.  I’d also like to remind you that good health should rank the highest on your list of priorities, because without it, life may become extremely challenging and you risk decreasing your  overall quality of life.   And wealth, it can be overrated.  I’m sure you personally know or have heard about someone spoiled by money.  It happens, but it doesn’t have to be you.

You see, it’s’ pretty simple.  In this lifetime, you have the power to mold and shape your life into whatever you choose.  I make it sound easy, but in all actuality, it really is.  If you wanted to run across the street naked, you can do it.  I’m not saying it’s a good idea, but you can do it.

Soooo, if you “want” to be “happy”, then you must figure out what gives you that feeling.  Surround yourself around that person, place, or thing, and always have smile on your face.  Stay healthy, and don’t worry about making mounds of money.  When you take care of yourself physically and mentally, you are living the good life. With body and mind in sync, you will definitely find smart and creative ways to earn a decent living.

I believe that life wasn’t designed to be hard, it’s really what we make of it.  So be good to yourself and enjoy the time you’re here.

Bunnies are so overrated!

This Easter, instead of picking up a boring bunny, why not get a chinchilla!  These furry friends need a home too. Better save them before P.Diddy gets a hold of them all.  Muhahahah.  I wonder how many poor chinchilla it takes to make a fur coat.  I dunno, lets ask P.Diddy, I’m sure he’d know.   hahaha.

Choose chinchilla over bunnies!

78, sunny, and clear skies…

The weather is definitely getting warmer by the day, and I love it!  I spent the weekend cruising around on my bike, kogi’s, passed my 1st real estate exam, made some sangria, and just lounged at home w/Fuego and friends.  The sky was so clear, you could see Malibu, the mountains, and nothing but miles of ocean!  See below!

The line is always long for Kogi's...err.

My new shiny Nirve bike!  Feast your eyes on my latest addition to the family.  This is a Nirve Island Flower edition bike.  Don’t have to worry about the petro anymore!  While everyone else is stuck in traffic, I’ll be weaving through the streets to get to the Kogi bbq truck.   Meep meeep!  I ❤ my bike!
