It has been officially 1 yr, since the Smart came home with us. We heart this car so much, because it saves us a ton of dinero on gas & it fits in the tiniest parking spots. This little pocket rocket was due for its annual servicing, so we took a little field trip down to the dealership to handle some business.
Our Smart For Two, was as good as new when we picked it back up in the late evening. Before leaving the dealership, I couldn’t help but snap a pic of their showroom window. Btw…if you have an old clunker, I believe Smart is offering a special leasing program that is dirt cheap. It’s supposed to be something like $99/month, but I’m sure there are certain restrictions and program rules. Check out their website for more details.
I am SMART.
After running some errands yesterday with JP, we were craving Urth Cafe, but decided to go with something different. Cruising the mean streets of Bev. Hills, we stumbled across a cute street side cafe called BeverLiz. One look at their menu, and I was sold!!! I love kabobs, wraps, and greek salads, so this was the place for me!
I ended up ordering a Chicken & Artichoke Pressed Wrap, which features a toasted wheat lavosh wrap. It’s basically like a panini, except they used lavosh bread instead. My lunch selection came out with a side of Greek salad, and everything on my plate was sooo delicious!
JP ordered up the low carb Shish Kabob special with chicken, and that was extremely good as well. This is definitely a place I will frequent, whenever I’m in the area.

I know the whole frozen yogurt trend is so 2008, but I must say there is one place on N. Bedford in Beverly Hills that you have to try! This magical place is called Angelina, and it’s a quaint yogurt shop that features non fat, low fat, and carbo lite flavors. For some reason, their yogurt doesn’t taste chalky or ultra sweet like the other fro-yo chains.

I was strolling through Beverly Hills yesterday and was amazed to see the crazy line outside Sprinkles. I thought this whole cupcake frenzy was over, but apparently Sprinkles has still got it going on. The line was at least 20 deep (outside the door) and people were so excited to get their hands on those sinful cupcakes. One thing I did notice is that there were some “plus size” folks in line. At 497 calories per red velvet cupcake, I can see why people are busting out of their seams. If you’re on a diet, please stay away from Sprinkles, and have a nice day!

Vietnamese banh mi (sandwiches) + tacos = NomNom Truck!
I’m super excited that someone has finally answered my prayers! Coming in August, the NomNom Truck will be in the prowl with an offering of Vietnamese banh mi (sandwiches) and Vietnamese inspired tacos! I hope their banh mi’s are better than Lee’s, but we’ll have to wait and see. Stay tuned for an updated review, after I try some NomNom in August!
Virtually every Sunday, JP and I truck it on down to the local Farmer’s Market for some fresh fruits and veggies. In addition to the produce section, there are also food vendors that whip up some good stuff like breakfast burritos, roasted corn, fresh juices, and crispy crepes! Going to the Farmers Market is always a treat!!!!
Search around on the web for a Farmers Market near you!!!
I’m uber excited to go watch the G-Force movie (in 3D!!) about the crime fighting guinea pigs. They are just tooooo cute. I just saw a cool advertisement for the movie driving up Washington Blvd. today. Btw…don’t tell Fuego, I think he’ll be jealous!
When there’s good company, food, and entertainment, the only thing missing is a fabulous cocktail. Through countless field research for a special libation to serve at our reception, we’ve come up with the “88 Signature Cocktail”.
Feast your eyes on the lovely backdrop for our wedding celebration!
Eat, Drink & Be Merry.
Isn’t it amazing how there will be a complete solar eclipse today? Researchers say that it only comes around once in 100 yrs. I think that’s pretty damn magical.
Well, my special day is coming in a few weeks and I feel that it’s a special celebration that will only come once in my 100 yrs.
As of late, I’ve been thinking a bit more about life and what the heck I want do while I’m here. All of my dearest friends know that I always have outrageous ideas, but somewhere down the road, I make them come true. I’ve spent a good amount of time traveling the US with my buddies when I worked at HIN, but I have an increasing desire to travel the rest of the world.
Being surrounded by yachts in the Marina, I’ve pondered the idea of learning how to sail, however after watching the Perfect Storm…hell no! I think the better choice of transportation would be to take the jet. I must say my fascination for helicopters continues to live on, because the possibility of ditching LA traffic and getting whisked away on the “heli” makes really me happy. Well, the “heli” dreams still resurface from time to time when I’m stuck in traffic, but my new obsession is having a jet! Look at this beauty!!!
Having pretty things are fun and all, but having the flexibility to jet set wherever and whenever you want, definitely allows you to see the world from a different set of “rose” lenses. I’d love to fly in my PJ’s, while having an awesome selection of my own foods on board (drools). Ok…I’ll leave you with that thought. =)
Just another random day of pretending to be movers. I must say this is the coolest moving crew I’ve ever seen.
Ahem…hey ma’am, where ya want the tv? =)
At different times of the day, I’m often peering out my windows to get a glimpse of the ocean, yachts, and people of course! One of my favorite times of the day is sunset. I just think it’s so magical that the sky can look so prismatic with rich colors. I must say that every sunset looks completely different out here on the west side. Here’s pic I snapped from Monday’s sunset.
After countless referrals to check out WURST, JP and I buckled and had to see what all the commotion was about. Needless to say, it was a sausage and beer kind of date, even though we didn’t drink beer. hahaha.
Lawry’s + chocolate chip cookies + pool + good friends = THE GOOD LIFE (hahahahah)
One of my new found hobbies is cycling by the beach. I love sharing this experience with my friends. Here are just some random pics from our outing today. Here’s Miss Young, rocking the Schwwwwwwwwwwwin!
Wedding planning! My friends would describe me as crafty, creative, and very Martha Stewart-ish. I’m no jack of all trades, however I must say that I enjoy this whole wedding planning stuff.
Whole Foods is definitely my favorite place to hang out, and apparently this little raccoon feels the same way!!!!
Enjoying wine, cheese, and crackers with my lovely neighbor, outside her patio.
I’m proud to announce that my baby “extreeeeeeme” cayenne, will be featured in another national ad campaign! Here’s a behind the scenes photo during the shoot. Stay tuned!
Spring and summer is the worst times for me, since I’m out and about enjoying the beautiful weather.
As of late, just kicking back and taking it easy this summer. It’s actually my 1st real summer in like 10 yrs! Between my old jobby and school, I never officially had a real summer. So, I’ll make sure to share some pics from summer adventures right here!
