It has been officially 1 yr, since the Smart came home with us. We heart this car so much, because it saves us a ton of dinero on gas & it fits in the tiniest parking spots. This little pocket rocket was due for its annual servicing, so we took a little field trip down to the dealership to handle some business.
Our Smart For Two, was as good as new when we picked it back up in the late evening. Before leaving the dealership, I couldn’t help but snap a pic of their showroom window. Btw…if you have an old clunker, I believe Smart is offering a special leasing program that is dirt cheap. It’s supposed to be something like $99/month, but I’m sure there are certain restrictions and program rules. Check out their website for more details.
I am SMART.
After running some errands yesterday with JP, we were craving Urth Cafe, but decided to go with something different. Cruising the mean streets of Bev. Hills, we stumbled across a cute street side cafe called BeverLiz. One look at their menu, and I was sold!!! I love kabobs, wraps, and greek salads, so this was the place for me!
I ended up ordering a Chicken & Artichoke Pressed Wrap, which features a toasted wheat lavosh wrap. It’s basically like a panini, except they used lavosh bread instead. My lunch selection came out with a side of Greek salad, and everything on my plate was sooo delicious!
JP ordered up the low carb Shish Kabob special with chicken, and that was extremely good as well. This is definitely a place I will frequent, whenever I’m in the area.

I know the whole frozen yogurt trend is so 2008, but I must say there is one place on N. Bedford in Beverly Hills that you have to try! This magical place is called Angelina, and it’s a quaint yogurt shop that features non fat, low fat, and carbo lite flavors. For some reason, their yogurt doesn’t taste chalky or ultra sweet like the other fro-yo chains.

I was strolling through Beverly Hills yesterday and was amazed to see the crazy line outside Sprinkles. I thought this whole cupcake frenzy was over, but apparently Sprinkles has still got it going on. The line was at least 20 deep (outside the door) and people were so excited to get their hands on those sinful cupcakes. One thing I did notice is that there were some “plus size” folks in line. At 497 calories per red velvet cupcake, I can see why people are busting out of their seams. If you’re on a diet, please stay away from Sprinkles, and have a nice day!

Vietnamese banh mi (sandwiches) + tacos = NomNom Truck!
I’m super excited that someone has finally answered my prayers! Coming in August, the NomNom Truck will be in the prowl with an offering of Vietnamese banh mi (sandwiches) and Vietnamese inspired tacos! I hope their banh mi’s are better than Lee’s, but we’ll have to wait and see. Stay tuned for an updated review, after I try some NomNom in August!
Virtually every Sunday, JP and I truck it on down to the local Farmer’s Market for some fresh fruits and veggies. In addition to the produce section, there are also food vendors that whip up some good stuff like breakfast burritos, roasted corn, fresh juices, and crispy crepes! Going to the Farmers Market is always a treat!!!!
Search around on the web for a Farmers Market near you!!!
I’m uber excited to go watch the G-Force movie (in 3D!!) about the crime fighting guinea pigs. They are just tooooo cute. I just saw a cool advertisement for the movie driving up Washington Blvd. today. Btw…don’t tell Fuego, I think he’ll be jealous!
