This is one of my latest finds during my stay in Roppongi Hills in Tokyo. I can’t read Japanese, but I walked into AM/PM in the wee hours of the morning, looking for a treat. I always love trying new foods/snacks, so I reached for this cute pouch of what appeared to be fruit balls (insert joke here). To my surprise, these tiny balls were packed with fruit flavor! It’s final, they are #2 place, as my #1 place winner still goes to Haagen Daaz Crisp Sandwich (green tea).
Ever since I was a lil girl, there was always a certain level of fascination, when I stood in front of a vending machine trying to figure out my purchase. Today as an adult, you can still find me glued to the vending machines, except, the new modern version features fun & kitschy items.
I spotted this one @ The Cosmopolitan Hotel in Las Vegas. You can get everything from Lady Gaga rhinestone encrusted ear bugs, fashion tape, gourmet chocolate, jewelry, and even eyelashes. Although, you can find better quality, selection, & prices for falsie lashes just around the corner at Skins 6/2 Cosmetics.
I’ve traveled the world and simply adore the hot/cold drink vending machines in Tokyo. They even carry small selection of hot soups.
My 2nd runner up would be Bam! in NYC. They feature hot foods such as grilled cheese, sandwiches, and mozzarella sticks.
I like pretty things, but there’s always a line I have to draw with the price. I know spring/summer is just about here, and thought I’d share a link I found for DIY Cupcake Stand.
This would be perfect for when you have guests over, birthdays, and a small little event. Best part is, you can make it as elaborate as your heart desires. Click on the cupcake to be re-directed.
I love dessert, but I don’t eat them. From the sugar, eggs, and lots of cream, I totally avoid desserts when possible. However, I do admit I enjoy watching CUPCAKE WARS!!!
I mean, who knew baking & competing for the covenant title of Cupcake Wars, could be so brutal?!
If you’re a fan of America’s Best Dance crew, then WOD is an event you don’t want to miss. Dozens of dance crews will be competing for prizes, and there will also be areas where you can pick up cool gear & products.
The tour kicks up again on April 2nd. Here’s a quick feature on Access Hollywood TV!
Sooo, I’m officially tired of my Nokia E71. Loved this phone, but the interface is just so dated, and it’s impossible view PDF’s or attachments from my emails.
All of my friends (and hubby), have been telling me to jump on the Iphone bandwagon. Can’t say that I’m a happy camper, but I’ve thrown up the white flag and will have to surrender.
If I move forward, the real question now is, “To Bling or not to Bling”.
*** UPDATED on 3/8/11
So, I decided not to bling out my Iphone, because the sparkly swarovski stones, apparently ending up messing with the quality of the photo. I read this on several blogs, then decided to test it out myself. I slapped on a gorgeous blinged out case, and snapped picture with and then w/o the case.
To my surprise, the flash and swarovski stones don’t get along. The result, a bright and foggy looking photo. The sales lady still tried to push me to buy the case, but I politely mentioned how I’d like to be able to use the camera on my photo. Since I do looooove to randomly snap photos for my blogging. Case closed!
Sephora has been a long time favorite of mine, but as of late, they are lacking the variety of new and exciting brands. I find that many of the products they put on their “top recommendation” lists, are simply a hit or miss.
It’s relieving to finally come across a gorgeous apothecary like Skins 6/2 at the Cosmopolitan Hotel in Las Vegas. This mega beauty haven has all of the hard to find beauty brands like Love & Toast (hand creme), Creed (perfume), and Lash Royalty (falsie lashes).
The staff is extremely helpful and will even do a quick makeup touch up upon request. I also like the fact that Skins 62 is located right next door to Marquee nightclub, making it extra convenient for me to swing by and get my lashes and last minute beauty needs before I hit the dance floor!
When it comes to the fashion powerhouse Chanel, you can definitely expect a hefty price tag to go along with their accessories. I love my IPAD, but probably won’t be bringing out my credit card anytime soon to make this purchase. I mean with a Chanel handbag, at least I could justify using it because I can actually use it to tote around my necessities.
Do I love this Chanel IPAD case, YESSSSS! I just wish the price tag was a tad bit lower. =)
I have a secret crush on macarons. ❤ I originally wanted to try the macarons @ Laduree, but ended up trying Dallayou instead, at the suggestion of my girlfriend.
2010 was a fantastic year, filled with unforgettable memories. My husband and I, kicked off the year by spending a couple of weeks in pure sunshine and tropical weather. We managed to run out businesses remotely, but still had plenty of time to relax.
Sometimes you really don’t get what you pay for. In today’s news on LA Times.com, I came across a very disturbing article about major food companies cutting corners by putting “fake” blueberries in their foods. People are usually buy a cereal or snack that contains fruit, because they automatically think it will be healthier. Blueberry has gotten really popular over the years, because it is very healthy and contains antioxidants. It’s a shame that big and well known food companies are clearly taking advantage of consumers.
Read more about what food companies are using to make “fake” blueberries and pawning them off as the real deal.
Home to the famous crispy rice patty burgers. I used to visit you in Hawaii, but one day, you left me. MOS Burger, I’m so happy we reunited all the way in Singapore.
I’d have to say that I’m pretty creative, and always paying attention to cool (and awkward) logos. I’m having mixed feelings about this one I spotted in Asia.
With pure white sand beach, green foliage, hiking paths, and crystal clear waters, Tachai Island ranks among one of the hottest new places to visit in Thailand. This serene and picturesque beach is a rare gem that has not been flooded with visitors like the Similan Islands.
You’ll have plenty of uninterrupted R&R time to sunbathe, snorkel, hike, or just float around in the ocean. You can get to Tachai Islands by speed boat, which takes 1 hr and 20 minutes each way. Trust me, it is well worth the time.
Hainan Chicken Rice!
After a 1 year hiatus, JP & I managed to come back home for a visit to S’pore. Not much has changed since our last visit. High rise buildings and modern shopping plazas are still under construction in and around Orchard Road, but some things remain constant, and that’s the huge selection of delectable food & treats.
Do enjoy my photo diary of this long overdue trip back home. I’ll be posting additional photos each day.
Now here comes the food & shopping!
Back in Aug 2010, I had the chance to visit the beautiful island of Ibiza. During our stay, I had a chance to go to Privilege to see DJ Tiesto. Then in November of 2010, I ran into DJ Tiesto in Las Vegas! He was so sweet and agreed to take a photo with me. =)
Here’s one of my favorite songs & video clips from DJ Tiesto.
Makeup Artist Grace Chun, just posted up a fabulous beauty gift guide for this holiday season. She has great gift ideas from $10 to $150.
Out of her list, I liked Lash Royalty lashes, Sephora perfume deluxe sampler, and ELF gel liners. Take a peek below!
Tis the season of holiday parties, and excuses to get all dolled up. I’m loving the sexy cat eye look everyone is doing this fall/holiday season. I’ll have to re-create this look with a tad bit less eyeliner, but definitely some false lashes! I’ll have to stop by and check out the selection on Lash Royalty.
Warning: The subject matter of this video is very serious, and I acknowledge that. On the other hand, the boy is sporadically dancing and making funny hand gestures like Lady Gaga. Now that part is hilarious! It starts at about the 2o second mark.
