Fireworks, bbq, and just hanging out with good ol’ friends.
Spring is officially here, and I’m feeling energized. Did some grocery shopping and picked up a bouquet of mini spray roses, and decided to make a couple of arrangements for the home. These jewel toned mini roses are just lovely.
Love is, homemade Chicken Pot Pie.
If you’re interested in the recipe, drop me a msg! I’ll be happy to share.
I look forward to the weekends, because there’s less people on the road, and I get to stop by the local Farmer’s Market. I’ll posted number times about my trip to the Farmer’s Market, but here’s your chance to see what’s in our shopping totes!
Asian pears, fuji apples, nira (Japanese chives), daikon radish, nasu (Japanese eggplant), vine ripened tomatoes, and leeks…
Fresh Komatsuna (Japanse Mustard Spinach) & Fresh Arugula!!
And, last but not least, pomegranates!
Was browsing around Whole Foods and came across this intimating lunch box. First thought, FIERCE!
Hahaha, I think lunch boxes back in the day, consisted of super hero characters and Care Bears. It was oh so innocent!
Woke up to another beautiful sunny day, so JP and I are about to head out on the cruisers. Before heading out, I fixed some mini pita sandwiches!
Whole wheat mini pitas, stuffed with organic hummus, alfalfa sprouts, and sliced japanese cucumbers. It was fresh, light, and very flavorful!
Woke up to a beautiful sunny day and decided to hit the roads with JP to find some lunch.
1 stop: Farmer’s Market for some fresh veggies & fruit for the week.
2 stop: Lemonade, for some lunch & of course some lemonade!
After scoping out Yelp for the reviews, we decided to go to Lemonade for a quick lunch on the way back home. This cafeteria-ish place was packed to the brim! Good food selection and good pricing as well.
For lunch, we had the strawberry spinach salad, cucumber cantaloupe with prosciutto salad, then cous cous with wild mushrooms (w/parmesan & truffle oil), and a side of ahi tuna with a citrus vinaigrette.
For all of the general side items, you can do the following combos:
1 item: $4.00
2 items: $7.50
3 items: okay, i forgot!!!
Then, all lemonades are $2.75. So far, my favs are: Peach Ginger Lemonade & Blueberry Mint Lemon Lemonade.
For all of our wonderful wedding guests, we chose these eco-chic gifts for a special purpose. After going to so many weddings, we were so tired of getting useless wedding favors…so, I came across the Flip & Tumble reusable totes. They are colorful, fun, and very portable.
JP and I went to the Ferry building last weekend for lunch, and guess what??? We saw our Flip & Tumble totes for sale at one of shops inside.
We hope you enjoy them!!!!
